Korea Trip

This is a long blog post filled with pictures over my 11 days going and returning to Korea. Sunny and Olivia will continue their visit for a couple of weeks.

The flight there is 12 hours. We took the red eye. Which did not completely work in our favor. Olivia slept for 3-4 hours of it and then played for the other 8. Which means Sunny and I did not sleep on the red eye.

The outside lights are fun.

Olivia meets her other half. Her Grandma on the left, cousin and aunt on the right.

This is what South Korea looks like.

It also looks like this. Delicious barbecued meats everywhere.

The best Korean BBQ I've ever had.

This Chicken Kalbi. Spicy chicken, cabbage, sweet potatoes. Pretty good if you can handle the heat.

She pulls herself up non-stop. Kind of scary.

If you can read Korean then you can pick what kind of coffee you want this machine to make. Every restaurant has one of these machines at the exit.
Tasty.

Tired baby. She got a little sick, mild cold, mild fever.

Everyone would like this. It's pork. It's pigs feet.
I met Eric Davis in Seoul. He took me to this coffee shop. Coffee with 25 lap dogs.

It smelled like dogs.

We stayed mostly at Sunny's sister's apartment in Bucheon. Here's the view. It's about 30 minutes from Seoul. See the medium sized buildings in the back. Those are all apartment buildings. The majority of Koreans live in these 10 story apartment buildings.
This was our room.

This was our 6th floor view.

The busy streets of Bucheon.

The trees of Korea. Cherry Blossoms.

The funniest T-shirt ever.
the front.

the back.
We took a train to Sunny's oldest sisters apartment. It was a 1 hour train ride to a town called Chuncheon. Chuncheon is less densely packed than Seoul, Incheon, or Bucheon. It had nice mountains, a river, and a lake.

The view from the oldest sisters place.

You have to obey the rules.

The lake in Chuncheon.
We went to the Bucheon Botanical Gardens one day.

the tulip field out back.

On Friday we went to a professional Korean baseball game. The SK Wyverns vs the Samsung Lions.

Pretty easy to read.
On Saturday we had Olivia's birthday party.

Nam Su created this banner. He is a genius.

Three generations with Grandma and Mom.

Last Monday I took off. Olivia was too tired to care.
